Respected Al-Huda families,

We are pleased to share with you that our 2nd Grade and up students went to sears center Arena to watch the basketball game played between Windy City Bulls and red claws. Our students got thrilled with this rare experience as twenty other schools were also present there.

The students got extremely exhilarated when Al-Huda Academy's name rose on the scoreboard.
May our students rise and shine in all their ventures and bring laurels to their school!

The students had a very learning cum fun packed exposure to this field trip. They received the goggles and a workbook full of educational activities occurring throughout the entire game. Our 4th graders also took the autographs from the players at the end of the game.

Junior Achievement Day!

posted Feb 8, 2017, 11:19 AM by Samia Altaf

Dear All,

We had scheduled our Junior Achievement day that went very successful today.  We had JA volunteers from some leading companies like Motorola solutions, Zurich, and GE Healthcare. The volunteers conducted very age and grade scripted activities centered on different concepts and taught KG- 5th grade. They had brought very stimulating worksheets, visuals and real-world examples to help students connect with the concept.

Katie Philpott, Renee Grinvalds, Stephanie Ishikawa, Scott Wu, Alan Zindler and Lisa Brzezicki volunteered in   Kindergarten to 5th grade.

All the students received JA participation certificates from the volunteers. All the volunteers were deeply satisfied with the energy level of students towards learning and they expressed their gratitude to teachers for making those wonderful “Thank-You” cards.

It was certainly a very awesome Junior Achievement day at Al-Huda Academy!

Heartiest Congratulations to all the students for their strong participation!!

Let’s keep the same momentum throughout the school year for other school activities.

Best Regards,

Mrs. Altaf

 Dear All,

We are glad to announce the result of our Annual Mega Science Fair held on Thursday, January 26 in the school.

We are obliged to all the seven judges who had spared their valuable time to judge the students’ projects. We had invited professionals from medicine, engineering, and Computer Science firms to grace our Science event.

Group A: (Kindergarten)

Dr. Jane Sorokin and Mike Wattis did the judgment for group A. Dr. Jane Sorokin, MD specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and associated with Amita Health Medical Groups and Mike works at Motorola solutions.

 Group B: (2nd -3rd grade)

Dr. Malek Bounab holds a PhD. in computer Science from France. He is a very prominent member of technical staff at Infinite Convergence Solutions. Our second Judge Blake Regan came from Motorola Solutions.

Group C: (1st, 4th and 5th Grade)

Namita Bakshi, Nadeem Kureishy, and Mark Zollner judged these grades. All three of them represented Motorola Solutions. Mark Zollner has judged the science fair of public high schools and he raised very pertinent questions from the students.

All the judges were extremely impressed with the quality of exhibits. They raised different questions and dived deeper on the topics to assess the level of knowledge students exhibited.

Sincere congratulations to all the students for their brilliant performance and my deepest Thanks to all the parents for their support!

May Allah bless our students to rise and shine in all their endeavors in future!
