Dear Parents,

I wanted to share it with you that Cook County (IL) Sheriff’s Police officials were invited by the management of Al-Huda Academy on October 24 at 8:45 in the school gym. The Sheriff’s police conducted two very informative sessions for our young students. They discussed about the long hours of work as their service requirement, their schooling and dedication to work. The police officers briefed the students about his equipment on the belt like handcuffs, torch and other essential items. The second officer was a bomb officer who had brought his extremely trained bomb sniffer dog.

All our upper graders raised very intelligent questions from these officers and it was an interactive session with these Community service providers. They distributed the worksheets to all our 110 students. We are glad that students enjoyed this learning opportunity.
